Astronomy Sun Zodiac
Our universe is depicted with gems.
We've seen numerous interpretations of astronomical themes, and Jacob Arabo's creativity doesn't seem to have waned when it comes to this intriguing series. The Astronomia Solar collection is designed to put the sun in its rightful place, at the center of our universe, and therefore the center of the dial, in the form of a 1.5-carat Jacob cut® citrine. The special cut developed by the brand consists of 288 individual facets that give the gemstone a truly spherical appearance.
volume off In this new model, in addition to the movement's three arms, there is an additional feature on the movement. The three arms carry the hour and minute subdials (with a patented differential mechanism that remains vertical), the globe and the flying tourbillon carriage - both of which rotate around their respective axes within 60 seconds. New feature is a free-standing frame mounted on a central axis, along with three additional Jacob cut ® gemstones in amethyst, topaz and peridot. This assembly completes a full circle of the dial every 10 minutes. In turn, the aventurine dial base, in which there are seven hemispherical gemstone planets (white granite for Mercury, ruby for Venus, red jasper for Mars, Peterstone for Jupiter, tiger's eye for Saturn, blue calcite for Uranus and cyan for Neptune) Jinshi) performs a full counterclockwise rotation every 10 minutes, creating a scene of continuous rapid motion.
To reinforce the astronomical and celestial qualities of this piece, the blue PVD hour and minute dials feature 12 gold-plated zodiac markers, and the time is indicated by rose gold hands that complement the 43.4mm rose gold case. The chronograph function is powered by Jacob & Co.'s exclusive hand-wound JCAM19 movement. Vibrating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, this lightweight titanium movement offers a 48-hour power reserve and features beautiful finishes. Given the imposing domed sapphire crystal, whose lateral opening prevents the use of a traditional crown, the watch is wound and the time is set via two 18-carat rose gold bows integrated into the caseback.
